The Claremont Corp. plans to build the Residences at Somerset Square and parking garage project in Glastonbury. The $15-million to $25-million project would include a four-story, above-grade, 32,000-sq-ft building with 100 units and 150 surface parking spaces. Connecticut
The National Coast Guard Museum Association will build a museum at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in New London. The up to $50-million project will include food and beverage services, an education building and a theater/auditorium. A ceremonial groundbreaking was held in May 2014. Fundraising is ongoing as the project has secured $5 million in federal funding. Construction is targeted for 2018. Payette Associates Inc. is the architect. Massachusetts
N Granese & Sons Inc. plans to build the 254 Lynnway residential complex/garage project in Lynn. The contract method for the $80-million project is undetermined. The scope includes two five-story buildings, one with two levels of below- and at-grade parking and one building with one level of parking. Northeastern University is building a $30-million Marine Science Research Facility in Nahant. Conceptual plans are underway and advancement is pending funding. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Designer Selection Board and Woods Hole Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority are planning a permanent Woods Hole Terminal 0912 in Woods Hole. The up to $25-million project will bid in 2021. A temporary terminal is underway. A new headquarters building and a temporary terminal are both underway. Docks/slips are out for bids. New Hampshire
Eversource (formerly NSTAR /Northeast Utilities) will construct the Seacoast Reliability Project in various locations. Permitting is underway for the up to $50-million project and construction could start next year. The project includes approximately 13 miles of new 115-kV transmission overhead, underground and submarine transmission lines in Madbury, Durham, Newington and Portsmouth. Rhode Island
Rhode Island Hospital is building the Inpatient Obstetric Unit project in Providence, which includes a two-story vertical addition and renovations.
