Three of the largest private donations in university history have fueled Abilene Christian University’s “Vision in Action,” a plan to transform the campus in a way not seen in more than 50 years.

The multiphase science facilities projects included an exterior renovation to the current science facility, landscaping of the science quad and a new science laboratory building. This three-phase design-build project completed all work in 20 months, returning more than $1 million in savings to the owner to be reinvested in future campus projects.

Through precise planning, value-engineering refinements, day-to-day management and solid trade-partner relationships, the project was completed one month early in December 2016 despite added scope and the rainiest spring in recent years.
