Crews working on the Mary Couts Burnett Library renovated 20,000 sq ft of the facility, originally built in 1923, and added 58,000 sq ft of new construction. When the project was 89% complete, the owner asked for installation of a different type of ceiling. The major change, requested late in the project, required a six-week extension to complete, but it allowed crews time to modify ductwork and electrical systems as they installed the new ceiling.
