The four-story, 63,000-sq-ft build-out of the Restoration Hardware Gallery included many high-end interior finishes—polished concrete slabs, hard-lid ceilings and an extensive millwork trim package. The team also updated the exterior electrical work, patios and doors.
The storefront location is intended to be a gallery or a showroom rather than a retail location, so artistic perfection was expected. The high-end finishes required weekly visits to the millwork shop to ensure they met the project’s standards. Colored mud helped to avoid defects in the drywall’s level-five finish, and an electrostatic painter ensured a seamless paint job.
Crews worked seven-day workweeks with three shift changes a day to complete the project two weeks ahead of schedule and under budget.
