The American Council of Engineering Cos. of Colorado raised more than $11,000 for the association’s scholarship program at its annual golf tournament, held Aug. 1 in Golden, Colo. The tournament—which drew players from 34 local companies, including 29 ACEC Colorado member firms—is the primary fundraiser for scholarships. The grant program has provided more than $400,000 to educate engineering students since its inception in 1982.
A golf team sponsored by MKK Consulting Engineers, Greenwood Village, Colo., took first place in the tournament. Participants, from left, included Sean Davis, Matt Maley, Craig Watts, Derek Watts and Tom Jansen, chair of the ACEC Colorado Scholarship Program Golf Task Force.
