Triple Five has finalized conceptual plans and is completing land acquisition for its estimated $4-billion American Dream Miami retail and entertainment center. The complex will be built on a 225-acre site near the Florida Turnpike and Interstate 75 in Miami. Lefrak Organization is working with Turnberry Construction/Development Co. to develop the SoLeMia mixed-use project, which is valued at between $3 billion and $4 billion. The development will include rental apartments, 12 multifamily residential buildings, a 150-room hotel, an auto dealership, retail-commercial-entertainment spaces, a movie theater and two 10-acre Crystal Lagoons. Cousins Properties is developing NCR’s $200-million headquarters building, planned for 8th and Spring streets in Atlanta. Balfour Beatty Construction will lead development of the estimated $300-million iSquare Mall/Solis and Capella Hotels project planned for Orlando’s International Drive area. The project will include two high-rise towers totaling roughly 1 million sq ft.
