R.A. Smith National – a Brookfield, Wis., civil engineering and surveying firm – is providing sitework engineering, project entitlement, landscape architecture, surveying, highway improvement design and traffic signal design services to Terraco Inc. of Wilmette, Ill., for the Kenosha Gateway project.

The project is a 12-acre commercial/retail site in Kenosha, Wis.

The Kenosha Gateway development is located at the northeast corner of STH 31 (Green Bay Road) and CTH S (Washington Road), a highly visible intersection surrounded by existing multi-family housing.

In addition to a CVS Pharmacy, the development is planned to include up to six other retailers, such as a specialty grocer, fast food restaurants, a bank and a hotel.

The project broke ground in July with the first phase of development to be completed in spring 2011.
