Guarantee Electrical of Ferguson, Mo., and its construction team have completed a $50 million, 35,000-sq-ft data center featuring the largest solar panel power array in Missouri.

The new facility advances Emerson’s plan to increase worldwide energy-use efficiency by consolidating more than 100 scattered data centers into four mega-centers. The building is topped by a 7,800-sq-ft, 550-panel solar array designed to supply approximately 20 percent of its power needs. The array is the largest in Missouri and includes a weather monitoring system that continuously measures the power generated – up to 100 kW.

Joining Guarantee on the construction team were national UPS provider Liebert Corp., the St. Louis office of Fox Architects and St. Louis-based contractor Musick Construction.
