South Arizona Avenue Corridor Improvements

A pedestrian-friendly corridor shaded by 170 low water use trees, this new streetscape enhances Chandler's downtown area. LED lighting and salvaged benches combine with unique pedestrian and streetlight fixtures, while elegant paver designs in the sidewalks are accented by curving bands of colored, recycled glass. Public art was incorporated into the hardscape. Special attention focused on incorporating frontage elements with the new Chandler City Hall. The two project teams revised seat walls, planters, walkway treatments and tie-in points to successfully blend the two designs.
