Sean Miller has been hired by McGough Construction as director of health care for the Southwest. Based in the firm's Phoenix office, Miller is LEED accredited and holds degrees from Southern Nazarene University and Oklahoma State University. Earlier stops in his construction career included stints at HBE Corp. and JE Dunn Construction.

Norm Dianda, founder of Q&D Construction in Reno, is continuing a succession to his two sons, Chris and Mike Dianda. The elder Dianda will continue to serve as chairman of the board of directors while his sons will become managing directors. Lance Semenko has also been promoted to chief operating officer at the firm.

Edward P. Ledger has been appointed vice president of McShane Construction Co., Phoenix. Ledger will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the company's operations in Phoenix and throughout the region. He will also be engaged in the development and acquisition of new business opportunities. Prior to joining McShane, Ledger was vice president of development and construction for the Avenir Group.

Eric Doran, a 2003 graduate of Oregon State University, has been promoted to project director for McCarthy Building Cos. within the Southwest division in Phoenix. Doran will oversee projects in Arizona, including the Banner Estrella Medical Center tower addition as well as the IHS San Carlos Apache Rural Healthcare Center.
