VASSILIADIS
Rosemary A. Vassiliadis was appointed as director of the Clark County Dept. of Aviation. She is the first woman to serve in the role, managing 1,500 employees across several airports, including McCarran International Airport. Vassiliadis previously served as the department's deputy director since 1997. A native of Chicago, Vassiliadis earned a bachelor's degree in accountancy from DePaul University.

The Arizona Builders' Alliance in Phoenix named Lorraine Bergman as its new president. Bergman, president of Phoenix-based Caliente Construction, will serve a one-year term for the ABA.

New members of the ABA board of directors include Danielle Feroleto, president of Small Giants LLC, and Justin Kelton, director, McCarthy Building Cos., both of Phoenix.

 

WHEELER
Julianne Wheeler joins Phoenix law firm Jennings Haug & Cunningham LLP as a partner, where she will focus primarily on commercial disputes with an emphasis on construction law. Her trial and litigation experience includes fidelity and surety law, construction law, licensing and bid protests. She earned her law degree from the Arizona State University College of Law in Tempe.

James A. Barrett Jr. has been appointed to the board of directors of Forte Specialty Contractors in Las Vegas and was also named chairman for the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce. Barrett is the founder and president of the JABarrett Co., a Las Vegas-based financial advisory firm. Prior to that, he served more than 25 years as senior financial executive and board member of Marnell Cos. in Las Vegas. He is chairman of the board of directors for St. Rose Dominican Hospitals, Las Vegas, and an advisory board member of US Bank-Nevada.

Jeff Fromm was added to Adolfson & Peterson Construction's Phoenix office as director of operations. He brings more than 35 years of experience to managing the firm's field personnel in the Southwest region.

The Korte Co. promoted Jason Mantle to chief operating officer. He began his career at the Las Vegas-based general contracting firm as an estimator and worked his way up to project manager and vice president of preconstruction. He received his master's in construction management from the University of Illinois.

 

SELVAGGIO
Thomas Selvaggio was appointed chief operating officer of Burke Construction Group in Las Vegas. Prior to joining the firm, he was the founder and president of Fairbanks General Construction in Bloomindale, Ill.

Burke promoted Anthony Dazzio to chief marketing/governmental affairs officer. He has been with the company since 2003 and previously held the role of senior vice president. A former lobbyist, Dazzio also worked as executive manager of business planning and growth at NV Energy.

Anthony Jeffers was elevated to vice president of project development at Phoenix-based general contractor Johnson Carlier. His previous role was senior project manager. Jeffers has 23 years of experience in the construction industry, having previously worked at Adolfson & Peterson Construction. He received his master's in construction management from Arizona State University in Tempe.
