“Due to her diverse background and skill set, Shaghayegh Shariat mediates among three groups for WSP/Parsons Brinckerhoff, including civil, railway and planning. Equally diverse, her portfolio involves work on the BNSF Railway project in Bellingham, Wash., the Seattle Waterfront/Alaskan Way viaduct replacement, Washington's Lynnwood to Everett High Capacity Corridor Study and the Washington ferries travel survey program. Since  2014, Shariat developed a course for the University of Washington's department of civil and environmental engineering that involves geometric design, placing special emphasis on CIVIL3D software applications to develop models for roadway corridors and calculate earthwork and material volumes. Shariat is involved with the American Society of Civil Engineers' Younger Member Group and its sustainability committee. She is passionate about promoting awareness of the opportunities that await women interested in joining the transportation industry.”

Mark Tumason oversees bridge projects for specialty contractor Schwager Davis Inc., a firm specializing in large civil projects. Upon graduating from Montana State University, he was recruited to work on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge Skyway Structures, among the largest precast concrete segmental assemblies of their kind. Tumason later participated in the development and execution of the first cryogenic testing of post-tensioning tendons in the U.S. in order to qualify for Golden Pass LNG Terminal's five concrete containment tanks near Sabine Pass, Texas. Among other activities, Tumason participates with the American Segmental Bridge Institute, a nonprofit organization dedicated to further refining the design of segmental concrete bridges worldwide.
