Prior to joining Atkins, a design and project management firm, Suzanne Leta Liou served as development manager with Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc., where she managed utility-scale development. As national leader for Atkins' power and transmission group, Liou focuses on growth in renewable energy, transmission and services involving greenhouse gas emissions. She also manages corporate strategy, business development, budgets, marketing and communications for the group. Liou also leads monthly project reviews and undertakes direction of key projects. Since 2008, she has been active with several renewable energy groups, including the American Wind Energy Association, the Solar Energy Industries Association, Women of Wind Energy and the Renewable Northwest Project.

 

 

 

Amanda Schweickert
Transit projects have kicked her career into high gear

During her tenure with BergerABAM, a structural and civil engineering firm, Amanda Schweickert has focused on transit structures that include the Oakland Airport Connector, Seattle Monorail, the Disney Monorail in Orlando and the Sound Transit South 200th Link Extension Parking Garage in Seattle. Having achieved LEED AP status in 2009, Schweickert devised a business development plan that propelled BergerABAM into the arena of sustainable design. Last November, she served as moderator at the first International Conference on Sustainable Infrastructure. Schweickert also has collaborated with the American Society of Civil Engineers to promote sustainable infrastructure.
