"Public-private partnership agreements are starting to come into play a little bit more here," Riccillo says. The Housing Authority of El Paso has applied for the Rental Assistance Demonstration program. "They have $500 million; they already let out the first phase for $180 million, and they're getting ready to put out another $300 million. The first $100 million just went out on the RFQ." Also upcoming is "the streetcar project, and that's about $100 million," he says. "Coinciding development opportunities will be incredible for our downtown area."
