Missouri Hudson Holdings, a developer specializing in downtown historic re-use projects, is planning to redevelop the Railway Exchange Building in St. Louis. Built in 1914, the 21-story, 1.2-million-sq-ft building formerly housed the flagship department store of the Famous-Barr chain and, later, a Macy’s, which closed in 2013. The tallest building in St. Louis when it opened, it remains the second-largest building by interior area in the city’s downtown.
