The Award of Excellence is an annual event that brings together leaders in Architecture, Engineering and Construction for formal recognition of their outstanding achievements. The event recognizes and celebrates winners of ENR’s Regional Best of the Best Projects, and ENR’s Top Newsmakers, with one Newsmaker receiving the highest honor, the Award of Excellence.
20 projects are selected from 400 contenders that are recognized at ENR’s Regional Best Project Award ceremonies. Those 20 ‘Best of the Best’ projects from across the US will then be honored at a morning ceremony on March 26 for reaching the pinnacle of design and construction achievement. Each reflects excellence for fostering innovation, safety culture and community impact. Come to build relationships winners and see who walks away with Project of the Year Honors.
Each year, ENR editors select the AEC industry’s ‘Top Newsmakers’ based on their significant contributions, innovation, leadership, or service to the industry and public. All of these leaders will be recognized at the evening Gala, with one Newsmaker being honored as the recipient of ENR’s Award of Excellence.
Attendees include senior level engineers, contractors, specialty contractors, architects, owners and suppliers representing companies in transportation, buildings, water and energy sectors. Public official “VIPs” can also be counted on to participate.
Many of the attendees are the award winners and their teams, however, the Award of Excellence is an event for the entire construction industry and anyone affiliated with the AEC community is welcome to attend. Additional attendees include representatives of software companies, accounting firms, legal services and law firms.
There are many reasons to attend the Award of Excellence Gala – it’s not just about networking, although it has been described as a “who’s who” in the industry where you are certain to see longtime colleagues and old friends, while also meeting up-and-comers, and networking with public officials and other AEC VIPs.
This event is also about collaboration and being inspired by the technical excellence showcased from the award-winning firms. It’s a place for you to bring your own firm’s talent and let them create relationships that can turn into future projects or joint-ventures.
It’s also a place to relax with colleagues and strengthen connections with ENR editors from all over the U.S.
Whether you choose to dress in formal “black tie,” or would be more comfortable in less formal attire, you’re guaranteed to have a memorable evening in a beautiful setting with good food and great company.
