ENR editors have chosen the City and County of Denver as the magazine's 2025 Mountain States Owner of the Year for Colorado and Wyoming. The City is having a big impact on the region's construction activity, with an expansive program of projects recently completed and currently underway, and several large initiatives in the planning stages.
A few of these projects include the East Colfax BRT project, the Civic Center Next 100 Vision Plan, development of the Park Hill Golf Course and the upcoming final phase of the $1.3-billion Great Hall expansion project at Denver International Airport. The recently completed expansion of the Colorado Convention Center garnered an ENR Project of the Year award, and Denver's 16th Mall makeover project is nearing completion.
The City has also been keenly focused on its plan to combat homelessness. The All In Mile High program is aimed at housing 2,000 people by the end of 2024, and the City has been buying hotels to convert them into temporary housing for homeless individuals and building small, temporary micro-housing units.
A profile of the City will appear in the April 28 issue of ENR Mountain States & Southwest, the newly formed publication that combines coverage of Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.
