ENR’s regional Excellence in Safety Award is now in its eighth year as part of the annual Best Projects competition. This year, ENR Southwest is honoring three projects for their outstanding safety records and jobsite procedures.

Our safety judges reviewed more than 30 entries, considering many factors in their decisions, including a project’s overall safety program, OSHA recordable incident rate and lost-time accident rate, as well as total worker hours on the job.

This year's independent panel of safety experts included Pat Salandi, a construction industry safety professional based in Salt Lake City, and Jon Wickizer, founder of Acknowlogy in Cedar City, Utah.

We'll feature all our Best Projects winners in the November 2 issue of ENR Southwest.

All winning project teams—as well as our Owner of the Year, Design Firm of the Year, Contractor of the Year, Specialty Contractor of the Year and Legacy Award winner—also will be celebrated during our November 9 virtual Best Projects awards celebration. Click here to register for the event!
