The 2025 Top Young Professionals from ENR’s West region have been selected!
But first. What is the West region, you ask?
Introducing ENR West Region
ENR has chosen to reorganize the magazine’s regions to meet the evolving construction industry audience. The goal is to provide content for firms and individuals that crosses evolving geographic footprints. (Read more about regional issue reorganization here.)
Much will remain the same, though, with each of the five newly re-formed regions continuing to publish six bi-monthly print and digital magazines, a twice monthly newsletter and regional-specific digital content posted daily to the new regional websites within ENR.com.
In addition, ENR’s successful Best Projects competition/events and top firm rankings will continue to provide your firm with the same level of opportunity to showcase your firm’s outstanding work.
ENR West will include the former California region (California and Hawaii) and Northwest region (Washington, Oregon and Alaska) with the addition of Nevada, formerly of ENR’s Southwest region.
Now on to this year’s inaugural group of honorees for ENR’s West’s Top Young Professionals competition!
ENR West's 2025 Top Young Professionals
Almost 100 candidates from across the West region were evaluated by this year’s team of judges. A total of 30 professionals under the age of 40 were selected for recognition.
This year’s panel of judges included:
- Mannie Barnes, construction manager, Guy F. Atkinson
- K.K. Clark, project executive, Clark Construction
- Wendy MacLeod, project executive, Turner Construction Co.
- Paul Pendergast, founder of BuildOut California
- Michelle Rabinovich, chief estimator, Shawmut
- Adam Spillane, senior vice president, operations, Cupertino Electric Inc.
Judges did not score applications from individuals working at the same firm or with which they had any conflicts of interest.
Each awardee will be featured in the first edition of ENR West in March 2025, detailing their successes and careers so far. Winners from the five regions are automatically entered into ENR's National Top 20 Under 40 contest.
