Paul Matt’s lifelong ambition to tackle challenging projects head on with a collaborative spirit has led to a career in construction that spans 65 years and encompasses more than 450 buildings, many of which are among Southern California’s most iconic structures.
“Los Angeles is in the midst of a building boom beyond anything seen here since the 1980s, driven by the severe lack of housing and the redevelopment of Hollywood and downtown Los Angeles,” Bob Hale says.
Notable headlines include a new 75,000-sq-ft office campus on Lake Washington, a five-farm wind project in Oregon, an honorary engineering scholarship and an award-winning student group at OSU.
With the successful completion of the $1-billion seawater desalination plant in Carlsbad, Calif., the project’s developer is moving forward with plans to build a second plant at Huntington Beach.
