To address water shortages in Central California, the initial phase of the North Valley Regional Recycled Water Program aimed to deliver 15 million gallons per day of highly treated, recycled wastewater from Modesto’s wastewater treatment plant to nearby agricultural customers by way of a local canal system.
As the largest digester gas cogeneration facility west of the Mississippi, this facility was built on a tight timeline that required commission, design and construction in 1,038 days.
