St. Louis-based Tarlton has promoted Chief Operating Officer Sondra Rotty to the added role of president. She joined in 2005 as a project engineer and was named COO in 2024. Rotty has worked on projects including renovation of the Old Courthouse for the National Park Service and Gateway Arch Park Foundation; the Olin Business School expansion for Washington University in St. Louis; the East Building addition at the St. Louis Art Museum; and the renovation of 900 Tucker Blvd., the former St. Louis Post-Dispatch building.
Riley Construction, a construction management and general contracting firm with offices in Waukegan, Ill., and Milwaukee, Madison and Kenosha, Wis., has named nonfamily owners to leadership roles for the first time. Ben Kossow now is CEO, Erin Anderson is president and Erik Dillon is chief operating officer. Outgoing CEO Matt Prince is transitioning to an advisory role as an owner and board member. The executive team also includes Vince Montemurro, chief financial officer; John Delavan, vice president of preconstruction and Dave Riley, chairman.
Michael Webb has been promoted to group manager for Boldt Co.’s Michigan operations based in Detroit. In this role, he also leads operations and supports strategic growth across Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio, including expanding the company’s presence in the automotive and industrial sectors.
Steve Donahue has joined Hanson Professional Services as vice president and technology integration principal to help the firm maximize use of technology. He previously was president of Horner & Shifrin Inc., a multidisciplinary engineering firm in St. Louis. Hanson, headquartered in Springfield, Ill., is a national, employee-owned firm providing engineering, planning and related services.
Architecture and design firm DesignGroup is expanding into Indianapolis and has named Ruan Love as senior project manager. The firm aims to strengthen its Midwest presence and serve Indiana’s health care, higher education and science and technology sectors. Love previously was a principal and health care practice leader at Indianapolis-based Meticulous, where he helped oversee the $2.3-billion Indiana University Health downtown hospital project in collaboration with Curis Design. He also helped oversee the 97,000-sq-ft renovation of the Health and Hospital Corp. headquarters.
Minneapolis-based Knutson Construction has appointed Mike McMahan as vice president of health care. He leads the firm’s health care practice, and is expected to take a major role in growing the sector. McMahan worked previously at Ryan Cos., Allina Health and the former HealthEast Care System.
Black & Veatch has promoted Donnie Ginn to lead the company’s strategic integrated water and environmental solutions business, including services to public agencies and utilities. A 30-year water industry veteran, he now oversees strategy, innovation and delivery across industrial water, drinking water, wastewater, environmental solutions, reuse and emerging water challenges, including PFAS substances, also known as forever chemicals.
