What began as a simple interior renovation that encompassed a paint and carpet refresh on a 40,000-sq-ft space transformed into a standard-bearing office for TikTok. Once the client decided to pursue a more ambitious vision, the team adapted to ensure the project would remain on schedule.
A custom felt baffle ceiling in the pantry radiates outward from the island, while a custom, back-lit paneling system in reception immediately transports visitors back to the virtual world.
The monumental staircase features signature TikTok pink glass and a custom slat system bringing unique digital elements, while local artist Morgan Zion’s murals and graphics tie back to Seattle culture.
One of the challenges was designing a vibrant space catering to engineers and programmers who may require subtle environments. Designing for diversity meant offering sensory moments through ambient lighting, soothing colors and softer finishes.

In designing for neurodiversity, the team reimagined materials as tools for sensory well-being. Custom felt baffle ceilings enhanced acoustic performance while introducing warm texture. Calming lighting, subdued finishes, lounge spaces and wellness rooms offer decompression spaces. Collaborating closely with vendors and specialists, the team explored custom finishes and unconventional applications to meet precise acoustic standards while aligning with the space’s soft, inviting palette. Every solution balanced function, aesthetic and brand personality.

Completed on time and within budget in February 2025, the project team also logged zero lost-time or recordable incidents across 59,200 work hours. A comprehensive safety program included weekly site audits, third-party urgent care access, air scrubbers throughout the jobsite and multiple safety stand-downs addressing fall prevention, heat stress and fire safety.
