Spanning 90,600 sq ft across three floors, this project features a hospitality area and training and conference spaces. The executive spaces feature custom plaster installations with gold reveals. Although the elements were intended to feature metal inlays, the design proved too complex for fabrication due to multidirectional curves.
The team decided to tape the inlay pattern, painting it gold, applying plaster and removing the tape to reveal crisp, elegant accents. Swing stages helped the team install signage on the building’s facade, and custom mounting details ensured alignment with curtain wall specifications.
A multistory interconnecting staircase with a raised access flooring system presented one of the project’s most complex scopes. The staircase serves as both a symbolic and functional centerpiece, linking all three floors, but the installation process had high potential for fall hazards associated with open tiles during overhead work.
To mitigate these risks, the team prohibited the use of lifts on site. This removed a common tipping hazard, particularly in confined areas. This also allowed for more controlled movement through the space.
