David Knotts

Contour Engineering, a Universal Engineering Services company, has hired David Knotts as principal for business development and George Harrison as group manager for non-destructive testing, both based in the firm’s Atlanta office.

Knotts brings 19 years of experience in development and construction in both office and retail development working for Cousins Properties, Sembler Co. and Portman Holdings. Harrison brings 29 years of experience in the Atlanta market, including project guidance for large national clients like Home Depot, Walmart, Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority and Costco.

John Norwood

Employee-owned multidiscipline consulting firm Terracon has named John Norwood its national manager for materials technology and innovation, responsible for partnering with Terracon’s operations and service line leaders to explore future technology needs and drive technology adoptions. Norwood, based in Terracon’s Raleigh office, has more than 14 years of experience.

Jessica Chen

National contractor Suffolk has promoted Jessica Chen to vice president in the Southeast region, based in Miami. Chen will provide direction in both the preconstruction and construction phases of projects in the South Florida market.

Suffolk also announced the hiring of Maureen Henson as vice president of people and culture for the Southeast, based in the firm’s Miami office, where she will work to increase Suffolk’s commitment to the employee experience, project standards, engagement, retention and high-performance culture.

Donna Huey

International design, engineering and project management firm Atkins has appointed Donna Huey as chief digital officer for engineering services for the U.S., based in the Orlando office. In this new role, Huey will support the planning and delivery of client programs that improve decision-making through digital insights and innovation. Huey has been with Atkins for 29 years in multiple roles.

Jerry Jannetti

Engineering and professional services firm WSP USA has promoted Jerry Jannetti to Southeast region president, based in Florida. He will provide leadership for the transportation, buildings, energy, environment, water and advisory markets in the region.

Chip Conrad

Charles “Chip” Conrad has been promoted to executive vice president of Collins Engineers. Conrad will be responsible for managing and developing Collins’ regional offices, divisions and technical staff. Conrad joined Collins in 1996, progressing through several engineering roles.

Tim Weeks has been promoted to senior vice president, division manager for Collins Engineers’ Southeast division. He will be responsible for managing and growing the division’s offices and technical staff. Weeks joined Collins in 2008, most recently serving as regional manager of the Virginia office since 2015.

Christopher Christy

Kaufman Lynn Construction has named Christopher Christy to its leadership team as vice president of preconstruction. Christy will be responsible for overseeing the estimating staff and leading estimating efforts on all Florida and North Carolina projects, estimating department employee training and budget controls.

James Lapp

Family-owned infrastructure contractor Superior Construction has hired James Lapp for its newly created role of division manager for transit. Lapp will develop and pursue large-scale transit and transportation projects across the Southeast and beyond. He is based in Superior’s Jacksonville, Fla., office.

Tom Everett

Tom Everett, former Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) executive director, has joined architecture, engineering and consulting firm RS&H as a vice president in the firm’s strategic infrastructure team, based in Jacksonville, Fla.

 

Josh Willard

National construction management firm DeAngelis Diamond has promoted Josh Willard from project executive to director of operations for Naples in the firm’s Naples, Fla., office. In this role, Willard will oversee operations in the Southwest Florida market.

John McClellan

Construction materials manufacturer Sto Corp. has named John McClellan its vice president of operations with the retirement of John Yankovich. McClellan is responsible for overseeing workforce utilization, supply chain operations and ensuring a safe manufacturing process out of Sto Corp.’s Atlanta office.

Xin Tong

Xin Tong has joined Hanson Professional Services’ Orlando regional office to provide planning and design for electrical systems in education, government and commercial facilities.

 

 

Matt LaLuzerne

Matt LaLuzerne has joined engineering and surveying firm McKim & Creed as geomatics business development director focused on growing the firm’s survey and geospatial business in Florida. LaLuzerne will be responsible for expanding the firm’s Florida coverage.

Charles Cullen

Professional consulting firm Freese and Nichols is expanding its team of senior utilities project leaders with the addition of Charles Cullen and Jenelle Ostrowski, who both bring experience in helping cities and counties with water infrastructure solutions. Both Cullen and Ostrowski are based in the company’s Tampa office.

Cullen has 20 years of utilities engineering and management experience in public and private sectors. Ostrowski has more than 15 years of experience in civil design and project management and has led capital improvement programs.

Andrew Myers

Full-service construction firm Frampton Construction Co. has named Andrew Myers project executive, based Charleston, S.C. Myers has been in the construction industry for more than 15 years.

 

Jon Long

Dewberry has hired Jon Long as assistant business unit manager in the firm’s Nashville office to support the firm’s growth in the health care market. Prior to joining Dewberry, Long was an operations manager and senior electrical engineer at Gresham Smith and Partners.
