Jim Thompson

White Wolf Capital recently partnered with Jim Thompson to form DCCM, a special purpose entity that aims to acquire U.S. civil engineering and infrastructure services companies. Thompson is based in Houston and serves as chairman and CEO of DCCM. Thompson spent 13 years with AECOM in several capacities, including CEO of international government services and president and CEO of TCB AECOM. Prior to starting DCCM with White Wolf, Thompson was the president and CEO of NARICA, a global energy and infrastructure engineering and development company in Houston.

Tom Ruschkewicz

Tom Ruschkewicz has joined McKim & Creed as senior vice president of geomatics. In this role, he will oversee the firm’s geomatics business in Texas and Florida as well as overall growth throughout McKim & Creed’s footprint. He will be based in McKim & Creed’s Austin office.

TDIndustries, Dallas, has promoted Brian Lillard to senior vice president of facilities management services, overseeing Texas and Arizona. He joined TD three years ago. He previously served as chief operating officer at a facilities management company. TD also recently promoted Jamie Dabbs to lead strategic initiatives as vice president for safety, health and environmental. Dabbs began his career with TDIndustries in July 2008 as a Dallas safety manager.

LEO A DALY Co., Houston, has appointed Samantha Holy as vice president and chief human resources officer. She previously served as regional director and a senior associate at Gensler.

Ross Johnson

Jacobs has appointed Ross Johnson as vice president and client executive of mission-critical advanced facilities. Johnson was previously managing principal of a C3, a telco edge cloud consulting firm in Austin.

Matt McCaffrey has been promoted to vice president and project executive at Skanska USA in San Antonio. McCaffrey joined Skanska in 2003 and most recently served as a project executive. In addition, Keith Sitzman has been promoted to vice president of operations. Since joining Skanska in 2002, Sitzman has primarily been involved with the construction management of health care and education projects.

Freese and Nichols vice president/principal Alan Hutson is joining the firm’s Oklahoma City office as Central Plains division manager to lead the continued diversification of services for state and local clients in Oklahoma and the surrounding region. Hutson formally transitions to his new role in January 2022.

Perkins&Will has promoted John Strasius to corporate, commercial and civic practice leader of the Dallas studio. Koleman Uresti has been promoted to managing director and will lead the firm’s Austin studio. Uresti will maintain his current role as operations director.

Hugh Darville has been hired at Gensler as regional co-leader of the government and defense practice area, based in Dallas. He previously served as deputy commander at the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center in Huntsville, Ala. Juan Fernandez has also joined Gensler’s Dallas office. Fernandez will serve as client strategy director. He previously worked at the SmithGroup as principal and workplace studio leader, also overseeing talent development and office operations.

Jamie Black

Strike LLC, based in The Woodlands, Texas, has promoted Jamie Black to vice president of major facilities. In his most recent position as vice president of construction, Black led the energy business unit. Prior to this role, he held senior leadership roles at both Wilbros and Sunland Construction in the Western region.

Catherine Callaway

Catherine Callaway has been named Kirksey Architecture’s new director of sustainability and building performance, based in Houston. Callaway served as a senior project manager for Kirksey’s community projects team for the last five years.

Moody Nolan has hired Josh Rayles as director of Dallas operations. He will be working at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport as the master architect on the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center feasibility study.

Jacob Galles has opened Edgeland Group as president and director of landscape architecture. Edgeland Group is a landscape architecture and planning practice based in Houston. Galles has more than 10 years of national and international experience in landscape architecture. 

Nick Hasty

Structure Tone Southwest has added two key leaders to its business development team in Dallas. Nick Hasty will serve as vice president of business development. He previously served as director of business development at a local Dallas firm. Kelsey Davis will serve as director of business development. Davis previously served as business development manager for another large firm. 

Denward Freeman has joined Talley Riggins Construction Group as vice president of business development, focusing on health care and worship projects. Prior to joining Talley Riggins, Freeman was with MEDCO Construction for 43 years and served as president of the firm from 1996 until 2020.

Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr PC has expanded its construction practice group with the addition of five new associates over the past 12 months. Munsch Hardt now has 15 construction attorneys across all three offices, offering clients a unique and unmatched range of services. Logan Adcock joins the firm in Dallas, Garrett Hicks in Austin and Julie McClintock, Connor Rose and Tim Word in Houston.

Jeanette ShawKristen Stapper

Powers Brown Architecture, Houston, has promoted Jeanette Shaw and Kristen Stapper to associates. With the new positions, the architects also will become shareholders in the firm. 

AECOM has hired three individuals across its Texas offices. Burton Johnson has been hired at AECOM’s Houston office as water resources lead, where he will spearhead the strategy and delivery of the Houston area water resources business. Kristina Holcomb has joined AECOM’s U.S. West region transit and rail team as Texas growth and strategy lead/project manager in the Dallas office.  Yanli Yao has joined AECOM as senior project and area manager for its ports and marine division in Houston. 

Dwight Storie has joined CEC Facilities Group, Irving, Texas, as director of mechanical services. Storie previously led design-build general contracting pursuits, focused on new markets and line of business expansion.

Zachry Group has made four new hires across the region. In Pasadena, Texas, the growth and customer development group supporting Zachry Group Services Organization has hired Fionn Damdar as a senior business development director, Rico Dickerson as a senior business development manager and Carey Porche as a senior business development manager. Travis Arceneaux has been hired as the new business development manager for JVIC Fabrication, a Zachry Group company, and will be based in the company’s Geismar, La., office.

Balfour Beatty has hired Bret Hall as operations director of special projects in Austin. Hall brings more than 27 years of construction experience, including the last five in Central Texas. Mark Didway has joined Balfour Beatty as operations director of large projects in Austin. Didway has more than 30 years of industry experience building in Austin in a variety of market sectors.

Tobin Ezekwesili

KAI has hired Tobin Ezekwesili as director of electrical engineering at its Dallas-Fort Worth office. Ezekwesili, with more than 15 years of engineering experience, previously served as a senior associate engineer at Syska Hennessy in Dallas.

Mike Darden has joined SSR as a principal in the firm’s Houston office. He serves as the operations director for the firm’s growing medical equipment planning service line. Matt Short was recently promoted to principal/client relationship manager, based in SSR’s Houston office, overseeing multidisciplinary engineering teams on high-profile health care projects in Houston and across Texas.

E.E. Reed Construction, Houston, has hired Jason Morgan as a project director responsible for overseeing a project from preconstruction through construction completion. Morgan has 26 years of experience and previously served as vice president at Whitestone Builders.

Sundt Construction’s transportation group has hired senior project manager Chris Leintz, construction manager Juan Miranda, project engineer Tyler Stewart and field engineer Brandon Merecka. They will all join the 183 North Mobility project in Austin. Omar Fernandez has joined Sundt as a project scheduler for the firm’s transportation group in the Dallas office.

Neel-Schaffer Inc. has hired Brian Robbins as a senior project manager based in the firm’s Vicksburg, Miss., office. Robbins has more than 20 years of experience as a consulting engineer and project manager.

Chamberlin Roofing & Waterproofing announced a series of promotions. In the Oklahoma office, Richard Sanchez was promoted to field operations manager. In the Austin office, Ed Franco was promoted to senior safety coordinator, Cody Oakman to senior estimator and Dylan Pender to project manager. In the Dallas office, Julianne Bryant was promoted to safety and risk coordinator.  In Houston, Nicole Combes was promoted to human resources specialist and Jonathan Harper to senior estimator.
