The Florida Dept. of Transportation named the design-build team of Archer Western Contractors and Traylor Bros. to construct an eight-lane southbound bridge carrying Interstate 275 over Tampa Bay. Red Apple Group Inc. is planning a 45-story mixed-use building on the 400 block of Central Avenue in St. Petersburg. The building will include 300 condominiums, a 225-room Marriott Autograph Hotel with a rooftop swimming pool, 20,000 sq ft of office space and 800 parking spaces. Olympia Heights Management is planning to develop Opus Place Condominium Tower No. 2 at 98 14th St. in Atlanta. The 55-story, 780,000-sq-ft tower will contain between 200 and 225 residential units, 200,000 sq ft of office space and ground-level retail. It has been designed by Perkins & Will Architects Inc. North Carolina 

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command is currently evaluating submitted bids by contractors seeking to construct an aircraft hangar at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. The project entails constructing two buildings, a two-story, low-rise aircraft maintenance hangar for F-35B aircraft and a paraloft facility. The project also entails utility upgrade work, including fire protection lines, water storage tanks, potable water lines and fuel and steam distribution lines. The 10-million-gallon-per-day expansion will entail a new rapid mix superpulsator, four new dual media filters, a new bulk chemical storage facility and a new clearwell pumping station.
