“The construction market for Albuquerque looks promising for 2020. Two major hospital projects are gearing up. All the recent bond measures passed. The Kirtland National Security Complex and Sandia National Lab remain busy, and the Facebook data center build-out continues,” Puelle says. “In other regions, energy work is booming—both extraction and renewables. Los Alamos National Lab construction is expanding. We’d like to see more activity in rural communities but are hoping New Mexico’s sizable state capital budget will generate more work.”
