The Howard Hughes Corp. is planning an $832-million project to revitalize the South Street Seaport in lower Manhattan. It will span several city blocks and create 450,000 sq ft of culinary, fashion, entertainment and cultural spaces. This includes a new Pier 17 building as well as the relocation and reconstruction of the historic Tin Building at the harbor's edge, turning it into a 53,000-sq-ft food hall and market.
