Tate Capital and Rok Acquisitions are the project owners for the planned $412-million redevelopment of Bahia Mar in Fort Lauderdale. The project, which is in design development, is intended to include 14 buildings comprising nearly 2 million sq ft. Currently, plans for the development of the 15-acre site include: 651 multi-family residential units; approximately 119,00 sq ft of retail; a 256-room hotel; a pedestrian bridge connection; and parking for 2,442 vehicles. Georgia

The Georgia Dept. of Transportation is proceeding with plans for its $580-million Interstate-285 East Wall Lanes design-build project. The work will add express lanes consisting of a buffer-separated express lane in each direction between I-85 and I-20. Bidding and construction are targeted for summer 2022 and 2023. Hensel Phelps Construction Co. plans to start construction in October on Tampa International Airport’s $303.7-million Main Terminal Curb Expansion and Central Energy Plant contract. The project will replace the existing main terminal loading dock and other support facilities and construct a new central utility plant, among other items.
