Clark County is seeking bids for a Union Pacific Railroad improvement project estimated at approximately $60 million in Las Vegas. Scope includes grade-separation roadway, bridges and related appurtenances along Valley View Boulevard from Tropicana Avenue to Flamingo Road and Harmon Avenue from Decatur Boulevard to Aldebaran Avenue. Clark County is reviewing bids for the installation of pedestrian protection along Las Vegas Boulevard between the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign and Sahara Avenue. Demolition includes removing concrete sidewalk and landscaping. Construction includes installation of security bollards, post and cable and new concrete sidewalk. New Mexico

The New Mexico Army National Guard is receiving bids for its Las Cruces Readiness Center, a 34,476-sq-ft facility that will include offices, administration, restrooms/lockers, storage and a small hangar for minor aircraft maintenance. Sitework includes a road extension from Armory Road on the south to Gasoline Alley on the north, a controlled perimeter and gates, paving for vehicle and aircraft parking and a helipad. The Carlsbad Municipal School District has announced that Bradbury Stamm Construction submitted the low bid for an 80,000-sq-ft structural-steel elementary school. Work includes replacement of existing asphalt shoulders with Portland cement concrete pavement as well as roadway widening. Arizona

The town of Gilbert is in the design phase of its cultural and education center project, estimated at $70 million. The work is anticipated to include instructional studios and specialized facilities for the visual, musical, sculptural and performing arts.
