New River Central LLC is planning to build a 35-story residential tower at 100 W. Sixth St. in Fort Lauderdale. The 588,346-sq-ft building will include 408 apartments and an eight-story parking garage topped with an amenity deck that will have a swimming pool, lounge and fitness center. Georgia

The Augusta Economic Development Authority of Richmond County is planning to build the James Brown Entertainment Arena on the site of the former Regency Mall in South Augusta. The facility will offer 10,000 seats, 14 luxury suites, 500 club seats and 20,000 sq ft of meeting or exhibition space and offices. Designed by Sink Combs Dethlefs/Perkins+Will, the project is valued at between $100 million and $110 million. North Carolina

Triangle Tire USA is planning to construct two tire manufacturing plants in Edgecombe County. Construction of the first plant, which will produce passenger car tires, is scheduled to begin in 2019 and become fully operational by 2020. The second plant, which will produce commercial vehicle tires, will be operational by 2023. The plant will be situated at the Kingsboro Megasite, five miles east of Rocky Mount.
