GE Johnson Construction Co. has promoted Dan Starr to president. Starr brings 35 years of experience working for GE Johnson in various roles, most recently as executive vice president of operations.
 

Saunders Construction Inc. has named David Martino as vice president of finance. Martino, a certified public accountant in Colorado, has 17 years of experience. He has led the finance departments in several of Colorado’s high-volume public companies.



Engineering firm Burns & McDonnell has promoted group managers Andy Hundley and Paul Callahan to principals in the Denver office. Hundley is department manager in the structural engineering group, and Callahan leads the Denver environmental studies and permitting group.

Jeff Westphal has been promoted to vice president of U.S. Buildings Operations at PCL Construction Services. He will transfer to Denver from the firm’s office in Hawaii.

Christopher Sherry becomes president of Merrick & Co., effective April 1. He has worked as senior vice president and chief operating officer for the past three years and will continue in his role as COO of the firm. David G. Huelskamp has served as Merrick’s president and CEO for the past four years and was most recently elected chairman of the board.

Helmut Steudel has joined global consulting engineering firm Stanley Consultants as director of business development. He will work the firm’s Denver office.
 

Global engineering firm Michael Baker International has hired Thomas Browning as its mountain region water practice lead. Based in the firm’s Denver office, Browning will serve as the company’s technical and market resource for water and as a senior adviser on projects.

The American Council of Engineering Cos. of Colorado’s past president, Lauren Evans, also the founder and president of Pinyon Environmental Inc., was honored with a 2016 Community Service Award from ACEC National for her outstanding contributions to the quality of life in her community.

Peter Turton has joined Arcadis as vice president and project director. Turton will manage construction of the firm’s future multibillion-dollar rail-transit projects.

RTA Architects has added Megan Gunderson, Jheanelle Levy, Chase Miller and Natalia Vladimirova to its architectural group. Also, Amy Schuster joins the firm’s interior design team.

Rowland+Broughton Architecture/Urban Design/Interior Design has added Indra (Indy) Tjaja and Rahul Mohare as senior project architects in the firm’s Denver studio and Jeronimo Roldan as a project designer in the Aspen studio.

TreanorHL Denver has added new employees and licensure. Ryan Estes and Ty Harrison, both architects in the TreanorHL health studio, were recently licensed in Colorado. Joseph McKinney is a new student intern, and two new intern architects, Andy Fan and Jamie Park, have joined the firm’s education studio.
