Connecticut Dept. of Transportation and Bradley International Airport plan to build a $250-million transportation center for ground services with a consolidated rental car facility, an enclosed connection to Terminal A and 800 parking spaces. Maine

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Mid-Atlantic is planning to repair the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery. The $25-million project includes repairs/modernizations of pile-supported open wharf structures originally constructed in 1943. The target bid date for this design-bid-build project is Sept. 1. Massachusetts

Hines plans to build a hotel and residential complex above the commuter-rail tracks at South Station (650 Atlantic Ave.) in Boston. The development will consist of completing the South Station Transportation Center at the lower levels of the project, plus the addition of a 49-story, 970,000-sq-ft office tower, a 155-unit residential condominium and 200-room hotel building. Massachusetts

Trans National Group plans to build a $250-million mixed-use tower and garage at 2 Charlesgate West in Boston. The project would exceed 25 stories and include a 343,819-sq-ft development, including about 310 residential units and 10,000 sq ft of retail. A letter of intent has been filed with the Boston Redevelopment Authority. The architect for the design-bid-build project is Elkus Manfredi Architects Ltd. New Hampshire

Eversource Energy plans to build the $123-million Merrimack Valley Reliability Project. Running between Londonderry, N.H., and Tewksbury, Mass., the project involves installing a 345-kilovolt overhead line along 24.6 miles of an existing power-line corridor. Approximately 18 miles of the line will pass through Londonderry, Hudson, Windham and Pelham in New Hampshire and 6.5 miles will pass through Dracut, Andover and Tewksbury in Massachusetts. Rhode Island

Ocean State Job Lot is building a distribution and logistics warehouse in North Kingstown. The $49-million design-bid-build project will be 500,000 sq ft. The project is tax credit approved. Vermont

The University of Vermont Facilities, Design and Construction Dept. plans to expand Kalkin Hall. The $8-million project includes a 33,000-sq-ft, three-story addition and select renovation to the existing structure. The construction management at-risk project, currently under review, is expected to begin in May and be completed in June 2018. The architect is Black River Design Architects.
