The simultaneous construction of two major league stadiums has definitely impacted contractors’ delivery of projects across the city.

The completion of those projects “is going to put a lot of capacity on the street, which we need from a workforce labor position,” says Petrangeli. While labor concerns aren’t killing projects, “clearly it’s impacting the pace at which jobs can get done. We’re seeing schedules longer than we used to, which creates an issue for clients trying to pencil out a job. It’s an interesting dynamic right now,” he says.
