There’s a “definite slowdown in condominiums,” says Murphy. Although he doesn’t expect to see many condos move forward during the remainder of 2016, “it might be offset by the tremendous amount of large apartment buildings for rent, like I’ve never seen in this town,” Murphy says, citing the two 45-story apartment buildings included in the $2-billion Miami Worldcenter project in addition to proposals by another developer for 55- and 60-story for-rent projects.
