WALTER P MOORE, Houston, announced that Ryan Seckinger, P.E., was chosen as the 2010 recipient of the firm’s prestigious “Javier F. Horvilleur Outstanding Young Engineer Award.” The award is presented annually to one young structural engineer at WALTER P MOORE who best exemplifies design excellence, outstanding client service and business acumen. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s of science and master’s of science in civil engineering. Also, it was announced that Hollis Allen, Jr., P.E., Ben Cheplak, P.E., Doug Coenen, P.E., Joseph Dowd, P.E., Daron Hester, P.E., and Bart Miller, P.E., have been named principals of the firm.

FKP Architects, Houston, added Alain J. Bélanger, AIA, and Ronda J. Wang, AIA. Bélanger will serve as senior project architect, senior associate and Wang will serve as project manager, senior associate. Bélanger holds a bachelor’s of architecture degree with honors from the University of Houston and an Architectural Design Technology diploma from Confederation College in Ontario, Canada. Wang is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s of architecture. Also, Benjamin Notzon, AIA, joined as a project designer, associate. He received a bachelor’s of architecture degree from the University of Houston with a minor in studio arts. In addition, the firm has promoted Anne Jackson Mullins, AIA, NCARB, RAS and Denise Starrett, SPHR, CEBS, CLC to senior vice president. Mullins is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s of architecture and Starrett is a graduate of the University of Delaware.

The Warrior Group, DeSoto, appointed Judd Presley business development executive of federal and military programs. In this capacity, he will work to secure additional government and military contracts.

The Real Estate Council, Dallas, announced that Linda McMahon has been named the organization’s new president. She is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s of arts in government.

CH2M HILL, San Antonio, named Judith Ibarra-Bianchetta, P.E., CFM, vice president—area manager for South Texas. She received her bachelor’s of science in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

Hill & Wilkinson, Dallas, announced that Mike Oswald, LEED AP, has been promoted to group manager of its institutional group. He graduated from Northern Michigan University with a bachelor’s of arts in construction management and an associate’s degree in architectural design.

Sundt Construction Inc., San Antonio, added three team members to its new office as part of the expansion of its Texas operations. John Carlson serves as senior vice president and Texas district manager; Amy King joins as business development representative; and Abigail Shaver was hired to serve as the office manager.

Satterfield & Pontikes Construction Inc., Houston, announced the addition of Richard Cox as vice president of Operations for the Federal Services Division in San Antonio. He will be in charge of operations and profitability for the firm’s federal procurement efforts and will also manage field operations, design build procurement, and engineering services. Also, Eric Churchill was added as business development manager for the Federal Services Division. He will be responsible for identifying business development opportunities for federal procurement efforts. Churchill holds a bachelor’s of science in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University. In addition, Robert Tobias was added as business development executive for the firm’s Business Unit. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Texas State University.
