GRUBER
Jordan Gruber has joined Plaza Construction, Miami, as co-director of the firm's luxury residential division.

Jason Waldemer joined Maser Consulting P.A. as geospatial service department manager in the firm's new Tampa office. He will help develop opportunities for the firm's laser scanning and mapping technologies in sectors such as transportation and infrastructure.

Design and construction firm O'Neal has hired George Sharpe as business development manager for its biopharmaceutical business unit, based in Raleigh. Sharpe's previous experience included positions at Progress Energy, Arcadis and Heery International.

 

Pamela Monastra has joined Skanska USA, Atlanta, as senior director of communications for the Southeast. She has 20 years of marketing and public affairs experience.

 

 

SIGMON
Greg Sigmon has been promoted to business unit leader for North Carolina transportation projects at STV/Ralph Whitehead Associates in Charlotte. Sigmon has been with the company for 24 years. The engineer also announced that 15-year veteran Mark Robbins has been named business unit leader for construction services.

Amos Liu has been named chief engineer for transit, structures and special projects, also in STV/Ralph Whitehead Associates' Charlotte office. In addition, the firm has promoted John Johnson to chief engineer for North Carolina infrastructure work.

 

NICHOLS
Cory Nichols has joined Calvin, Giordano & Associates in Jacksonville, Fla., as a senior project engineer. Nichols will serve as North Florida area manager for construction, engineering and inspection services. He was formerly with Kisinger Campo & Associates.

 

Jason Hatcher has been hired as project manager for Tallahassee-based bridge designer Finley Engineering Group. Hatcher will be working on the precast concrete approaches to the $743.3-million Bayonne Bridge.

Whitney Mitchell, recently hired by Finley as a CAD detailer, will also be working on the bridge project, which links Staten Island, N.Y., to Bayonne, N.J.

 

Trent Swartz has been hired as a project manager for Stevens Construction, Fort Myers, Fla. He previously worked for a Gainesville, Fla.-based construction manager.

MWH Global announced that Matthew Gribbins in Sarasota, Fla., as well as Benjamin Grove Jr. and Jack McDonald, both in Atlanta, have been promoted to vice president.
