MURRAY
Jessica Murray has been promoted to head of communications and marketing for Skanska Infrastructure Development North America, which develops and procures public-private partnerships for infrastructure projects. Murray will work from Skanska's offices in Washington, D.C., and Atlanta, where she has led communications for the contractor's Southeast region.

In Charleston, S.C., Skanska USA promoted Bob Ferguson to the position of account manager. He will support business development activities in South Carolina and Georgia. Before joining Skanska, Ferguson was with Bovis Lend Lease for more than 20 years and previously was president and CEO of F.N. Thompson.

Gregory Nettuno has been promoted to the position of senior vice president for GAI Consultants, Jacksonville, Fla. Nettuno, who serves as the leader of the transportation business unit, has been with the firm since 1998.

 

ROUTH
Hal Routh has joined the building division of Barnhill Contracting Co. in Raleigh as vice president of business development. Routh, who has experience in the real estate and banking industries, previously worked for Barnhill from 2001 to 2006. Prior to this latest appointment, Routh worked for Balfour Beatty Construction.

Jay Jacobson has joined Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Stiles as president of the real-estate developer's residential group. In this capacity, Jacobson will be responsible for managing the operations of the division and will work to develop new business opportunities throughout the states of Florida and North Carolina. Since 2004, Jacobson headed up the South Florida division of multifamily developer Wood Partners.

 

IRION
Laddie Irion was named senior vice president and national aviation market sector leader for HNTB Corp. Based in Tampa, Irion has more than 30 years of related industry experience and has worked on more than 100 aviation projects.

Prior to joining HNTB, Irion was director of air transportation for URS Corp.

In HNTB's Tallahassee, Fla., office, Jim Ely was named chairman of the company's toll practice. Ely, a vice president, will manage and represent HNTB's toll practice on a national basis. Ely joined HNTB in 2010, after a 36-year career with the Florida Dept. of Transportation that included 21 years as executive director of Florida's Turnpike Enterprise.

Crystal Carter has joined McCarthy Building Cos. in Atlanta as director of business development for the contractor's Southeast division. Carter has more than 20 years of industry experience and most recently worked for Cardno ATC. Carter also previously worked for the Whiting-Turner Contracting Co.

Matern Professional Engineering, Maitland, Fla., announced that Judy D'Angelo, Adrian Baus and Ryan Strandquest have been promoted to senior vice president. D'Angelo, a 17-year veteran of MPE, serves as the company's controller. Baus, with 19 years of industry experience, works as the firm's director of engineering. Strandquest, with 17 years of industry experience, works as the director of the firm's education division.

Ignacio Reyes was promoted to vice president and corporate director of development for Leo A Daly, where he will work out of the West Palm Beach, Fla., office. He previously served as regional director of business development.

In Miami, Leo A Daly has named Cheri Pavlik as director of business development for its West Palm Beach and Miami offices. Prior to joining the firm, Pavlik worked as director of business development for Hedrick Brothers Construction.

Lisa Hagood has joined the Charlotte office of Merrick & Co. as manager of the firm's civil engineering department. Prior to joining Merrick, Hagood worked for the city of Mount Holly, N.C.

Also in Charlotte, the firm hired George Galambos as manager of water and wastewater projects. He has 20 years of infrastructure industry experience.
