Michael Noffo has rejoined Plaza Construction, Miami, as project manager. Noffo was previously with Plaza from 2008-2010.

Mark Smith also has rejoined Plaza as a superintendent. Smith was previously a superintendent for the company from 2007-2009, when he worked on the contractor's 67-story Marquis project in Miami.

Gregory Nicolay has joined Plaza Construction as a project manager. He has 25 years of construction experience, including 12 years in South Florida.

 

SHANTEAU
Ryan Shanteau was promoted to the position of division manager for Ortega Juneau Construction Co. in Miami, where he leads the firm's preconstruction and construction services.

Brian Hayes was hired as a project manager for the Vero Beach, Fla., office of contractor Charles Perry Partners Inc. He previously owned Hayes Construction Group.

Mike Konieczka has joined KBR Building Group, Charlotte, N.C., as vice president of business development. He will focus on institutional projects in the Carolinas and Virginia.

 

BUSH
Don Bush has joined architect Lord, Aeck & Sargent of Atlanta as a principal and leader of the firm's science and technology practice area. Most recently, Bush was market leader for higher education and civilian government projects for Smith Carter Architects and Engineers.

Brock LaForty was named area manager of the Charlotte, N.C., office of Parsons Brinckerhoff. LaForty has more than 16 years of transportation industry experience. Previously, he was a senior associate at STV Inc., where he led the firm's national transportation planning practice.

Also in Charlotte, Carlos Gittens was named to the position of supervising engineer. He will be responsible for managing infrastructure design and design-build projects in North Carolina.

In PB's Orlando office, Ralph Bove was named environmental manager and senior supervising planner. He will be responsible for business development and project management.

Ger Houlihan was promoted to project manager for Hardin Construction Co. in Orlando.

In Atlanta, Hardin promoted Jacob Gibson to assistant superintendent.

Shannon Sweitzer joined engineer S&ME, Raleigh, N.C., as director of transportation. For the past five years, he served as director of construction for the North Carolina Turnpike Authority.
