Arup, New York, has hired Susan Baer as a principal and global aviation planning leader. She will be responsible for leading efforts in aviation and management consulting for existing and new clients. Previously, Baer worked for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) and was the first person in the agency's history to manage all of its major airports.

Plant Fantasies Inc. (PFI), a New York-based landscape design-build firm, has promoted Steve Martucci to vice president of operations from operations manager. He joined the company in 2003 and has played a key role in several major PFI projects, including those involving the 250 Hudson St. green roof, the renovation of the Grace Buildings public plaza and a three-part installation at Gotham West, all located in New York.
