This lobby renovation sets the stage for the rebirth of the 600 Washington Office Tower, one of several buildings whose age has hampered efforts to attract businesses to downtown St. Louis.

To meet the desired design intent, project team members evaluated marble slab samples from around the world.

Interior walls were re-clad in imported Italian calacatta oro marble slabs. To meet the desired design intent, project team members evaluated marble slab samples from around the world, weighing aesthetic issues against practical considerations such as shipping methods and potential delays resulting from customs.

Team members also evaluated installation methods before adopting an approach that relied upon scaffolding and different size lifts.
