Jack Hartman has been named city executive for engineer ARCADIS' big urban client program in Chicago. As former executive director of the Illinois State Toll Authority, Hartman led large, complex road projects in the Chicago area. He also was employed by the Chicago Transit Authority, for which he oversaw terminal and landside projects at O'Hare International Airport and Midway Airport.

Andrew Dunlap, principal and building enclosure specialist with Detroit-based architect-engineer SmithGroupJJR, has received the Young Architect Award from the American Institute of Architects Michigan. Dunlap's primary focus is analysis and development of exterior building enclosure systems, including roofing, skylights, windows and waterproofing. Specializing in hygrothermal evaluation and analysis of wall, window and roof systems, he employs advanced computerized analysis and simulation tools.

 

Hill
James B. Hill II has been named president of Franklin Park, Ill.-based mechanical contractor The Hill Group. Previously vice president, he is a 25-year veteran and a third-generation member of the family at the firm, which employs 900.

 

has joined HOK in St. Louis as an architect. She is focusing on the aviation industry, producing drawings and 3D models for projects such as at Tampa International Airport. Wheeler was an intern with HOK in 2013 and earned a masters in architecture from Washington University in St. Louis this year.
