Steve Platt and Todd Waalkes have joined St. Louis-based contractor and construction manager S.M. Wilson & Co. as project managers, while Kerry Lorts has joined the firm as project engineer. Platt has 21 years of construction industry experience, primarily in retail construction, and Waalkes has six years of experience in retail, entertainment and military construction. Lorts has one year of construction industry experience.

Peter Au has joined Darien, Ill.-based design-build firm Wight & Co. as principal. Au's recent experience includes project management for the reconstruction of major roadways in metropolitan Chicago, including I-80, I-294 and I-57.Au
