A topping out ceremony was held last week for 38 Sixth Ave., one of two affordable housing properties at Greenland Forest City Partners' Pacific Park Brooklyn. Tishman Construction began work on the 341,595 sq ft project in June 2015; once complete, it will feature 303 apartments and 87,000 sq ft of retail and medical space. An underground parking facility is also planned.

“As one of Pacific Park’s all-affordable properties, 38 Sixth Avenue is a major component of Greenland Forest City Partners’ commitment to creating a dynamic neighborhood inclusive of all New Yorkers,” said Ashley Cotton, Executive Vice President of External Affairs at Forest City Ratner Companies. “This milestone at the building brings us one step closer to bringing 303 below-market rental units to low, moderate and middle-income residents, affordable housing we know is sorely needed.”

Once complete, Pacific Park Brooklyn, which includes 14 residential buildings, will add 2,250 new affordable housing units, among 6,430 new units in total.
