Alaska The Alaska Aerospace Development Corp. is planning to rebuild the Kodiak Launch Complex, which was damaged in August 2014, when a 48-ft rocket carrying an experimental glider for the military had to be blown up shortly after liftoff. California The California American Water Co. is planning to build the Monterey Peninsula Water Supply Project desalination facility. The project entails constructing the desal facility, sited in North Marina; slant wells, to draw seawater from under the sea floor; and a 10-mile-long pipeline, to deliver the desalinated water to the Monterey Peninsula. Connecticut Brady Sullivan Properties is planning to develop The Lofts at Cargill Falls Mill in Putnam. The mixed-use project involves converting portions of the former cotton mill into 82 apartments and 29,954 sq ft of commercial space. The mill's dam will generate all the electricity used by both the residential and commercial tenants. Florida Taylor Morrison of Florida Inc. is planning to develop The Estuary at Boca Ciega Bay in Seminole. Ohio A joint venture of Salini Impregilo and Healy has begun constructing the Dugway Storage Tunnel in Cleveland. The project entails the construction of a 4.5-kilometer-long, 8-meter-dia combined-sewer overflow tunnel and six shafts. It will collect and transport wastewater and stormwater and help to reduce the pollution of Lake Erie. The project owner is the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District.
