COVID-19 Message

Working to Ensure Your Safety & Security

As it has always been for BNP Events, the safety and security of our guests, customers, and event team members remain our highest priority.

Regarding the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, The GWIC management team has decided that the safest course of action is to transition the 2020 conference from an in-person event to a 100% virtual event.

We are excited about the opportunities a virtual event provides to share this incredible series of events with an even wider audience than ever. We are proud to offer an online event portal that features live and on-demand viewing, networking via social media, chats, and message boards, the ability to download important content, and so much more.

Though nothing fully replaces a live event, we feel confident that the virtual Groundbreaking Women in Construction will provide the important knowledge-sharing and personal connections that make this such an invaluable event.

The GWIC team values the support and feedback of everyone involved in preparing for this important event. We appreciate your professionalism, patience and understanding during these truly extraordinary times. Please contact us via the event website should you have any questions or concerns.

Notice to Registrants for the San Francisco Event

Please look for important follow up communications from BNP Media and Engineering News-Record and related vendors that will include logistical details resulting from the change from an in-person event to a virtual one.

If you are registered to attend the live event, these are your immediate next steps:

  1. Registration fees. You will receive an email from our registration office with options to exchange your current ticket for a virtual one, cancel your current registration, or roll your registration to the 2021 event, taking place May 7-8 in San Francisco.
  2. Cancel your hotel room. If you made a hotel reservation at the Hilton, please contact the hotel directly to cancel. We cannot do that on your behalf and the hotel will not do it automatically.
  3. Call your airline. Most airlines are waiving change fees and allowing you to either rebook your ticket for a future flight or providing a voucher for the full amount of the ticket for a future booking.
