ENR Names HACI Mechanical Southwest Specialty Firm of the Year

An HACI Mechanical project for Dobson High School in Mesa, Ariz. included the replacement of 13 35 to 50-ton VAV packed units and 34 1.5 to 25-ton units.
HACI Mechanical has been selected as ENR Southwest Specialty Firm of the Year. The subcontractor works in a variety of project sectors in the Southwest, from health care, higher education and K12 to commercial and industrial. However, the rise in data centers and industrial projects throughout the Phoenix metro area has led to significant growth for the firm over the past year.
The contractor’s technology also helps to give them a competitive edge: HACI Mechanical has in-house BIM/CAD operations and a 30,000-sq-ft automated fabrication facility that can produce an average of 1.5 million pounds of fabricated ductwork per year.
HACI reported 2024 revenues of $102.4 million, up from $72.62 million the previous year. HACI's ranking on the ENR Mountain States and Southwest region's inaugural Top Specialty Contractors List will be unveiled in the Oct. 27 issue of the magazine.
A few of the firm's recent projects include the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp (TSMC) Main Office and the 601 North Central multifamily highrise in Phoenix, the Talking Stick Resort West Pool Expansion in Scottsdale, and work for several Mesa Public Schools.
Firms of the year are chosen by a vote of the regional ENR editors from across the country based on a carefully selected group of finalists. Factors include revenue growth, current projects, community and industry contributions and other considerations.
A story on HACI will appear in the Oct. 27 print issue of ENR Mountain States and Southwest, which will also feature our inaugural ranking of the top specialty firms from across the recently-merged seven-state region of Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.
