ENR Northwest Judges Select Excellence in Safety Winners
The Portland General Electric Marquam Substation was named Best Project in the Excellence in Safety category. This project’s large excavations and constrained downtown location required diligent safety practices.

ENR Northwest has announced the winners of its Excellence in Safety award. The special award is part of the annual Best Projects competition. Other category winners for Best Projects were announced earlier this month. The winners are:
Excellence in Safety: Best Project
Portland General Electric Substation Project in Portland, Ore., submitted by Black & Veatch.
Excellence in Safety: Award of Merit
Washington State University, The Spark: Academic Innovation Hub in Pullman, Wash., submitted by ZGF Architects.
