ENR Southeast is excited to announce its 2024 Design Firm of the Year: Goodwyn Mills Cawood.

The firm, based in Montgomery, Alabama, grew on paper and on the ground, completing its 18th and 19th acquisitions, opening a new office in Lutz, Fla., and growing its revenues by more than 30% over the previous year. 

With 24 offices across the Southeast, GMC’s 2023 saw work on several notable projects throughout the region, including some of the firm’s largest ever in their respective sectors, including an $85-million health care facility in Georgia, as well as Alabama’s largest high school at Gulf Shores. The firm was recently awarded the project for Alabama’s new Statehouse, as well as GMC's largest single contract ever with the Alabama State Dept. of Corrections.

Survey Deadline Extended to April 15

Last week, we previewed our Top Design Firm rankings, showing which firms had completed the survey a few days ahead of the initial April 1 deadline. But to give as many firms as possible the chance to participate, we're pushing that deadline out two weeks to April 15.
